Little Coders Track
A joyful first step into coding. Stories, hands-on activities and simple challenges that build real computational thinking — long before they ever type a line of code.

Weekly lessons on WhatsApp
Every Monday, a complete coding lesson arrives in your WhatsApp. Your child builds real projects at their own pace — and a real person personally reviews every single piece of work they send back.

Most coding classes need a laptop, a fixed weekly time slot, and an app to install. Not every family has all three.
We built The Kids Are Coding around the one thing almost every family already has — WhatsApp.
How it works
No app to install, no portal logins, no live classes to schedule around. The whole programme runs inside a WhatsApp chat you already know how to use.
Start this MondayA complete PDF lesson, written specifically for your child's level and track. Everything they need is inside — no separate app, no login, no download links.
Evenings, weekends, whatever suits your family. There's no live class to miss and no pressure to finish in one sitting.
A few photos of the completed work, sent over the same chat. No uploading to a portal, no separate account.
Real, specific feedback on exactly what your child built. Not an automated score, not a badge — a real person who wants to see them improve.
The coding journey
This isn't a once-off course. It's a path — and every stage unlocks the next.
Every coder starts here. All they need is curiosity — and WhatsApp.
🎉 First Lesson CompleteAges 5–9 learn sequences, patterns and logic through stories and play.
💡 Problem SolverLevel 1 of the Full Programme — real games built with visual code blocks.
🚀 Scratch ExplorerLevel 2 — the same language used at Google, NASA and Netflix.
🐍 Python ExplorerLevel 3 — HTML, CSS and JavaScript, ending with a website that's live on the internet.

⭐ Coding ChampionA genuine head start — skills, confidence and a certificate to prove it.
🏆 Certificate of AchievementThe programmes
A joyful first step into coding. Stories, hands-on activities and simple challenges that build real computational thinking — long before they ever type a line of code.
R750/month
Our flagship, hands-on programme across three 12-week levels — from visual block-coding to real Python to a live published website.
R1,000/month
A genuine computer science foundation — how computers think, the internet, cybersecurity and AI — built entirely around a phone. No laptop needed.
R500/month
All programmes run in structured 12-week levels, fully month-to-month with no lock-in contract. Two weeks' notice to cancel, family discounts for multiple children, and a Certificate of Achievement on completing all three levels.
Curriculum
No mystery curriculum — here's every week, track by track.
Five core areas — how computers work, the internet & networks, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital literacy — building progressively week by week:
What students build
Every project below is the kind of work students create — and submit over WhatsApp — as they move through the levels.
A playable maze game where a sprite navigates walls, traps and a timer to reach the finish flag.
A working calculator written by a real student — sum, difference, product and quotient, all printed from their own code.
# guess the number! secret = randint(1, 100) guess = int(input("Your guess: ")) while guess != secret: print("Too high!" if guess > secret else "Too low!") >> You got it in 6 tries! 🎉
The computer picks a secret number — the player hunts it down with "higher / lower" clues and a try counter.
Multiple-choice questions, a running score, and a victory screen — built with lists, loops and functions.
A real website — designed, coded and published live on the internet for family anywhere in the world to visit.
A little interactive forecast app — layouts, styling and JavaScript logic working together on one page.

Meet the founder
"This isn't an app grading your child with a badge — it's a real person who wants to see them improve, week after week."
I'm William, a Software Engineering student, and I started The Kids Are Coding because I believe every child deserves a real chance to learn to code — whether their family has a laptop or just a smartphone. I write every single lesson myself, and I personally read and respond to every piece of work a student submits. I built this programme around what I wished existed when I was learning to code: something accessible, honest, and genuinely taught by a real person.
▶ The Monday Message From a WhatsApp ping to a working project — this is what every week feels like.
For schools & centres
We partner with schools, ECD centres and aftercare programmes to bring coding to every learner at once — without the admin of managing dozens of individual enrolments. One flat monthly rate covers your whole centre. You set your own rate for parents and keep the difference as income. We handle the content, the feedback, and the curriculum — your team just runs the sessions.

There's no fixed pace to keep up with — lessons are self-paced within the week, and if a topic needs more time, that's completely fine. William's feedback is there specifically to help with exactly that.
No problem — it's completely month-to-month with no long-term contract. Just two weeks' notice via WhatsApp.
